DUTKA, Lawrence Walter “Lorne”
January 18, 1932 — August 28, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and much sadness that we announce Lorne’s passing on the 28th of August 2024 at the age of ninety-two.
Lorne is survived by his wife of fifty years, Lorna, and his daughter Sharon as well as his grandson Lance and great-grandchildren Makayla and Braeden; his grandson Lorne; grandson Nikolai (Nik); granddaughter Michelle (David) and great-granddaughter Vanessa; and his grandson Matthew.
He is also survived by his daughter-in-Law Jacqueline “Jackie”; his grandson Clifford (Victoria), and great-grandson Luca; as well as his granddaughter Olivia (Dwane).
He is also survived by his step-granddaughter Nadene (Paul) and great-grandson Nicholas.
He will also be missed by his nephew Ken (d. Joanne) & family; his many cousins and their respective families; as well as his sister-in-law Marilyn (Chris).
Lorne was predeceased by the children’s mother, Nancy; his sons, Lorne JR and Douglas; as well as his grandson Chris; his brother Jerry; and his nephew Andrew “Andy”.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Kidney Foundation.
A Memorial Service, will be held on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM (PDT), at SPRINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment will follow.
