It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Wilkinson (nee Hambly) on April 8, 2024, at Marjorie Willougby Snowden Hospice in Kamloops, B.C.
She is survived by husband Willie; Son Mark (Brigita) and precious granddaughters Nicole and Stephanie; and daughter Terri (Kelly) and their children Andy & Melissa and families. Also remembered by Brother-in-law Elmore (Inez) Wilkinson and nephews Glen Wilkinson and Rick Parkman and niece Wendy Galbraith. She was predeceased by sister Patty Parkman and brother-in-law Layton Parkman, nephew Grant Parkman and nieces Vonna Neal and Wendy, Gwen, and Sherry Wilkinson.
Shirley was born in Princeton in 1936 to Pat and Dolly Hambly. She grew up in Copper Mountain and attended high school in Princeton, and teacher training in Vancouver.
Shirley married Willie in 1958 in Princeton where they raised their family. Shirley was involved in many activities with her children including Nancy Green Ski league, Swim Club, and Junior Curling. She was also active in the curling club, hospital auxiliary, and art & paint classes. Shirley and Willie also enjoyed wintering in Arizona with their travel trailer and spending time at the family cabin they built in Tulameen.

Shirley will be greatly missed by all.
