Peggy Anderson Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we say Peggy Anderson passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 62 years.
Peggy was born in Ponoka on November 30, 1961, to Rudy and Ethel Schimpf. She called the Ponoka area her home for her entire life. And home was her life.
There was no place in the world she would rather be. A close second would have been camping at “the lake”, where cards (don’t forget the trip to the casino) and good company were never far away.
She loved her dogs. Misty Puddles, Buddy, Lady, Frisco, and bear brought her years of joy and companionship while she worked tirelessly at her gardens. Even though she always had an amazing vegetable garden, her flowerpots were where her passion laid in the summer. But in the winter her interests turned to her quilting. With amazing skill and precision, she could make beautiful quilts from what I always thought were just scraps of material. Peggy was a private person who took pride in her home and family, whom she loved fiercely.
She will be missed by her husband Elmer; children Monica (Kevin) and Christopher (Rose); her grandchild Alex; and way too many family members to mention.
Peggy’s family would like to thank Dr. Du Toit and all the medical professionals who supported her through her journey with compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
At Peggy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service at this time.
