Barbara Hoybak Obituary
It is with great sadness, deep sorrow and much love that the family of Barbara Ann Hoybak, of Ponoka, announce her passing on September 6th, 2024 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 77. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, and will be dearly missed.
Barbara will be lovingly remembered her two children Melanie (Dan) Dobler of Red Deer and Tina (Scott) Moore of Saint Paul Park, Minnesota; six grandchildren: Richard Hoybak, Craig Hoybak, Stephanie Moore (Theo), Tyler Dobler, Riley Moore, and Terrin Hanson (Braden); two great grandchildren Tayla Hoybak, Ryker Hoybak and Lennon Hanson. Barb’s eight siblings will remember her as as kind, gracious and giving; sisters, Bonnie, Betty Rowat (Brian Ford) of Penhold, Francis Godkin (Ray) of Edmonton, Bernadine (Terry) Martens of Red Deer, Rochelle (Frank) Logan of Langley, B.C., Margaret (Ken) Minifie-Cloutier of Edmonton, and Chris (Mike) Yakabuski of Walnut Grove, and brother Bernard (Vera) Minifie of Edmonton. Barb also leaves behind sister-in-law Doris Overbo and brother-in-law Carl Hoybak and many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband David Grant Hoybak, father Bernard Minifie and mother Shirley Minifie.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Asker Cemetery on Sunday, September 15th, 2024 – for immediate family.
A Celebration of life Tea Party will be held for everyone to celebrate Barb’s life on Tuesday, September 17th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. – please join us for Refreshments and fellowship at Burbank Hall and Campground, 313 Burbank Road, Blackfalds, AB (this is a come and go event – please stop by to share your memories).
