Obituary of Freda Anastasia Sperle
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Freda Sperle, who was born on April 3, 1939, in Consort, Alberta. At the age of 13, Freda moved from the Compeer area to Unity with her family, a place that would become central to her life.
At 18, Freda met the love of her life, Joe, and they married a year later. Together, they built a beautiful life and family, welcoming six children: Debrah, Perry, Jacqueline, James, Vonda and Dwayne.
Freda and Joe farmed near Unity, where Freda’s love for gardening flourished. she took great joy in watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports, often found cheering from the sidelines. Freda also enjoyed playing cards and cherished the many adventures she and Joe embarked on during
their travels together.
Fred’s life was one filled with love, family and a deep connection to the land and community she called home. she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Freda passed away at the Provost Hopsital in Provost, Alberta on August 14, 2024 at the age of 85 years.
