Lisa Natalie Ball Obituary
The world just became a little less brighter as we are forced to say goodbye to my beloved wife, best friend and partner in all things possible Lisa Natalie Ball.
Lisa was everything to me and our Samoyeds. She was quiet and reserved on the outside but inside there was a fiery competitive nature that was second to none. Lisa hated losing yet loved everything about competition whether it be a softball game, or a dog show she was always in go mode. She was the most organized person I have ever met and had an uncanny ability to get everyone organized with little to no communication to those involved, things just happened because Lisa took care of it.
Lisa loved her Samoyeds as they were her world. She was incredibly knowledgeable in our breed and was always researching about the breed and working to improve it. But nothing made her smile more than a silly little samoyed puppy. Raising a litter of puppies is a lot of work but that didn’t matter to her if there was one funny thing that happened that day. Raising healthy happy puppies was important to Lisa as much as finding good homes for each puppy that was born.
Lisa was incredibly adventurous and loved all things nature and in particular loved the bears of Brooks Falls. We have been fortunate to see these bears on two occasions and been on many trips that some would consider unconventional. She loved to try new things and always looked for the good in everything.
She had a little problem with a heavy foot and got her dream car in 2015, a C7 Corvette convertible. I remember watching her race that car around the track at the Ron Fellows Corvette driving school like she was at the Indy 500. She showed up all the boys and walked away from the track like a boss and never said a word. This tiny little girl had the heart of a lion, and I will miss her dearly.
She was my life, and I miss her so much. She was an amazing wife, dog mom and teammate for our softball team Tap in the Gap. I loved her like no other and she will be missed by all.
Lisa is survived by her husband Ken Ball, father David (Lynn) her mother Jacqueline and her brothers Ryan (Andrea), Scott (Amanda) and Paul (Jessica). Along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 6th, 2024, from 5:30 to 8:00 at Hertitage Park in Fort McMurray. We invite you to join us in a casual gathering where we can share memories and stories of this amazing woman.
In lieu of flowers Lisa and I would prefer a donation in Lisa’s name to Samoyed Association of Canada Rescue. Please donate via email or pay pal to payment@samoyed.ca or contact Lisa Hubenig (403) 816-1200 to make other arrangements.
May you Rest in Peace Sweetie, I love you.
