Bob Lausen Obituary
George Robert Lausen “Bob” came into this world closely behind his twin brother Bill in Strathmore on December 26th, 1934. He passed away quickly and peacefully on April 30, 2024 in Lethbridge at the age of 89. Bob will be missed dearly by his longtime partner Virginia Delinte, along with his children Arlene (Harold), Daryl (Connie), Karen (Mike), Greg (Bobbi), stepchildren Deb, Carolyn (Kim), Brian, Sharon (Ken), Greg (Tami), brother Bill (Barb), sister Irene, plus 27 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob is pre-deceased by his first wife of 35 years Elva Lausen, parents Bill and Leona Lausen, son in law Dan Boisjoli, brother Leroy Lausen, sister Dorothy Meadows, and stepsons Keith Delinte and Murray Loree.
Bob was raised on the family farm east of Carseland, where his sons and their families continue to farm. He was a sports enthusiast focusing mainly on hockey and baseball. Through the years he shifted from being a very skilled athlete, to an outstanding coach and mentor. He spent the last portion of his life as the number one fan of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Carseland Community Hall at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pincher Creek Heritage Acres Farm Museum Box 2496 Pincher Creek T0K 1W0 email: info@heritageacres.org
