Allan (Chieco) Charles Montgomery passed away February 7, 2024, in the Stettler Hospital at the age of 64.
He was born on June 14, 1959, in Stettler, Alberta to Pauline and Chester Montgomery from Donalda, Alberta. He was the fourth of five children: Paul (Poncho), Maureen, Steve, and Tony. They resided in Donalda, then moving to Stettler, then Coronation, and finally back to Stettler.
He met Amy McCuaig and they were married in 1978. They went on to have Jeanine in 1981 and Jason in 1982.

He was an avid fisherman, baker, chef, loved playing the guitar (he taught himself to himself to play the banjo in his 50’s), computer enthusiast, and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
He was a guiding light to his children and grandchildren and had a joke for every occasion.
Allan is survived by his wife Amy Montgomery; two children Jeanine (Randy) Renninger and Jason Montgomery; grandchildren Brandi (Tyler) and Carter; brothers Steve (Connie) and Tony; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Allan is predeceased by his parents Chester and Pauline Montgomery; sister Maureen, and brother Paul.
A celebration of life for Allan will be held June 2024.
Donations in memory of Allan are gratefully accepted to Tom Baker Cancer Clinic.
