It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the sudden passing of Sheila Donna Pope (nee Blaeser) of Sherwood Park, at the age of 60 on Thursday, September 12, 2024, surrounded by family. Sheila was a happy, vibrant, energetic individual that always welcomed everyone to her home whether they were known for years or just coming out for the first time. She was always inviting multiple people to the house for social events whether family, acquaintances and any person someone brought out.
Sheila was born to Gerald and Shirley Blaeser in 1963 in Camrose, the second of 7 children, second daughter of 4 girls and 3 boys. She always had a contagious laugh which could be heard for miles around. Never short of a smile for someone in need of one, always giving of herself and things people needed. She loved camping and was disappointed that she didn’t get to go on at least one more camping trip prior to her passing.
Sheila was predeceased by her father, Gerald Blaeser, sister Julie-Ann Stratychuk, brother Michael Blaeser, daughter Jessica Stewart, nephew Jared Thompson and niece Courtany McKay.
Sheila is survived by her loving husband, Jason Pope, mother, Shirley Blaeser of Metiskow, father and mother-in-law Art & Audrey Pope of Regina, son, Cody Stewart of Edmonton, Grandsons, Jadyn Stewart-Cantin, Parker Stewart-Cantin, Siblings, Rick, Wally, Sarah (Clint), Elaine, chosen sister, Annette, unofficially adopted daughter Megan Franks and many other family and friends from her many years through work and many social activities.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cancer research or Mothers against Drunk Driving (MADD). Service to be held October 8, 2024 @ 3 pm, Tofield Commnity Hall 5309 – 50 Street Tof
