It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Garry O’Brian Eglinski on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital, after a courageously long-fought battle with cancer. Garry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Leena of 35 years; daughter Nikita (Leigh); sisters Patricia (Keith), Valerie (Ron), Denise (Terry); brother Clayton; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Garry’s favorite places were at his cabin on Lake Isle, his childhood home in Two Hills, and his home in Fort Saskatchewan. He was a hardworking man who consistently put in the work to provide a life of love for his family. Garry enjoyed listening to his daughter play the piano, going for coffee with his friends in the mornings, and playing various sports such as wallyball as a young adult. He was an avid Oilers fan and food enthusiast.
The family is thankful for friends, family, staff at Southfort Gardens, his homecare team, and nurses at various hospitals in the Edmonton area for providing support and care for Garry in his final years.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
