Obituary For Mason Babonau
June 1, 2019 – July 26, 2024
Mason’s birth was scheduled and planned for June 1st, 2019, at 12:20pm. The world was ready and waiting for him with open arms. The day he left us was the opposite, no amount of planning could have ever prepared us for his passing. On July 26th, 2024, the world stopped, and if love could have kept him, he would have lived forever. Mason went to meet his grandma Laurie so they can watch over mommy, daddy and little brother Carson together. He will be greatly missed by his grandparents, aunties and uncles, cousins, and so many cherished friends.
Mason loved life. He loved riding his truck, four wheeler, and bike. He loved helping mommy cook and wanted to be just like his daddy when he grew up. He enjoyed getting his hands dirty in the garden, eating the strawberries as he went along. He was a fantastic big brother, incredibly loving and sweet and caring. He loved a good joke and had a great laugh. He was competitive, but a great sport. Tough, but emotionally intelligent beyond his years. So, so smart but also wonderfully silly.
Mason, you are loved more than words can describe. You are a part of us that will never leave.
A celebration of life will be held in Mason’s honour August 24th, 2024, at his home. His family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital paediatric ward. After following the included link, when writing Mason’s name in the ‘In Honour of’ section, please write Mason Babonau Paediatrics so that the donations go directly to the paediatric ward that took care of Mason and his family.
