Obituary For Kaitlin “Katie” Cheryl Barath
Kaitlin Cheryl Barath, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Hinton, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 22 years.
Katie was born in the Grey Nuns hospital in Edmonton, AB. She was raised in Hinton, AB, and eventually moved to Grande Prairie, AB.
She loved her family and her dogs. She has a passion for baking, gardening, painting, canning and swimming. She also loved the water and mountains.
She had the biggest heart and was always there if someone needed help.
Katie will be sadly missed by her mother, Nicole Halladay; sisters: Andrea Rooks, Kyarah Wightman, and Madison Barath; grandmothers: Lori Halladay and Linda Seibel; auntie Tara Halladay; and uncles: Ryan Halladay, Jeremy Halladay, and Sean Kellie; nieces: Peyton Rooks, and Madilyn Barath; and nephew Foster Wightman.
A Memorial Service will be held for Katie on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made towards funeral and bereavement expenses.
