Obituary For Edna Marie McAusland
April 16, 1926 – March 4, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the sweetest lady, Edna Marie McAusland, at the age of 97.
Edna was born in Mankota, Saskatchewan, on April 16, 1926, to Ethel Robertson. In 1929, her
family moved to Wembley, Alberta, where Edna and her sisters Elberta, Patricia, and Mona would attend school. In the mid-1930’s, the family moved to Grovedale where Edna would meet and marry William (Bill) McAusland in June of 1942. It was here that they started their own family and lived their entire lives.
Edna will be remembered by her children; Darrel, Dennis, Roy (Linda), Fred (Ellen), Fran (Ralph), and Doug, as well as 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Edna is also remembered by her sisters Patricia Gunter, and Mona Thompson. Edna was loved by many and will be remembered by many more including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families.
Edna is reunited with her husband of 53 years William Robert McAusland, her mother Ethel Larsen, sister Elberta Kvikstad, her aunt Dorothy Winters, and her treasured daughters-in-law Marj and Pat.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 11, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Grovedale Community Hall.
