Obituary For Bryan Alvernice Vig
April 24, 1960 – May 26, 2024
Bryan Alvernice Vig passed away in Edmonton, with his family by his side, at the age of 64.
He was born in Beaverlodge, AB, to Lorraine and Alvernice Vig, and attended school in both Beaverlodge and Hythe. Shortly after meeting his “sweetie” Sheila, he attended technical school for Instrumentation in Calgary, AB. Following his completion of technical school, they returned to the Beaverlodge area and shortly after this, were married. He began his logging career, while also starting a family. He and his wife Sheila were blessed with two beautiful daughters. Proceeding his retirement from the logging industry, he began a long and successful career with Pembina Pipeline Corporation which he enjoyed until the very end.
Bryan was predeceased by his father Alvernice, Uncle Donald (Wenda), Aunt Ruby (Leonard), Aunt Helen (Bob), Aunt Coreen (John), Aunt Marg (Ron), as well as many cousins and extended family members who are awaiting him with open arms.
He is survived by his loving wife Sheila, daughters Angela, and Megan (Michael), his mother Lorraine, siblings Stanley (Roxy), Larry (Shannan), Elaine (Clint), and Robert (Barb), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family would like to thank the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, Advanced Care Paramedics Flight Crew, Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, as well as the Royal Alexandra CCU teams for their diligence and kindness.
A service will be held at Valhalla Lutheran Church at 1pm on June 14th.
Memorial donations can be made to the Glenrose Hospital Foundation.
