Carol Robertson Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful and sudden passing of our dear, loving Carol on June 17th, 2024.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Chantel Robertson and Zoe and Kyle Dyck. She is also survived by the light of her life, her granddaughter Kenzie and her father Justin and stepmother Kira.
Carol was born in Pincher Creek on September 5th, 1963, she was the last of seven children born to Cecil and Audrey Beer. Carol grew up on the family farm south of town, she took great pride in our homestead and “our” mountains.
She attended school in Pincher Creek, first at Canyon School where she promptly decided on the first day of grade one that she did not like it so much and walked herself home – some five miles south!
Carol graduated from Mathew Halton in 1981, and after moved to Calgary to work various jobs. She met her husband Greg in 1986 and together they had two beautiful daughters.
After returning to Pincher Creek, she worked for many years at the License & Registries office, and more recently left her personal touch at OK Tire.
On April 4th, 2012 Carol and family were blessed with a granddaughter, Kenzie Lynn. This love was beyond measure and every moment Carol had with Kenzie was a treasure.
A cherished mother and Grandma, little sister and devoted friend. Carol found joy in family gatherings, friends, planting her flowers, DIY home improvements, and enjoying nature as much as possible. You could always find her picking rocks at the creek, or dreaming of the West Coast. Carols life was made complete with her decades long friendship and the endless love of her best friend, Janny who is forever a part of our family.
Left to mourn are her siblings and their spouses; Betty and Larry Hildreth, Jim and Celeste Beer, Wendy and Jerry Muelaner, and Marjorie and Mike Davis. As well as her nieces and nephews who all loved their Auntie Carol so much. Carol is also survived by her former husband Greg, and all of his family. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Audrey Beer, sisters Gail and Linda, and nieces Kristine and Carrie.
“To the world you are a mother, but to us you are the world.”
In true Carol fashion, she recently adopted a 17 year old kitty from the Pincher Creek SPCA. Donations in her memory can be made to the Pincher Creek Humane Society.
A Celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
