Christopher Brandon Calliou, age 31, passed away on June 20, 2024, at the Hinton General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with MPNST Lung Cancer. Born on August 12, 1992, in Hinton, Alberta, he brought immense joy and laughter to those around him.
Chris’ presence brought joy and laughter to all the lives he touched, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. We will always remember the way that Chris’ smile lit up the room and the way he was able to make those around him laugh. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk with us throughout our lives, until we meet again.
Chris always had a love and way with animals, but when he brought home Roxy, there was something special about their connection; they were each other’s world. His other hobbies included restoring vehicles, rebuilding engines, whether it was for a vehicle or ATV, and loved the challenge of taking it apart and putting it back together again. Chris also loved spending his time back at the farm in Kikino, where he was able to spend his time outside doing many of his favourite activities.
Chris is survived by his mother Lola Calliou, stepfather Ken McDonald, brother Chase McDonald, sister MacKenzie McDonald, nephews Sylas and Daniel McDonald, Mama Rita Calliou, Papa Harold Calliou, grandmother Helen McDonald, grandfather Jerry McDonald, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
