Susan Pearl Astle, also know as Suzy, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2023, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 68. She was born on October 13, 1955, in Glendon, AB, to her late parents Roy and Trudy Atamanchuk. Her family was extremely important to her, and she cherished her role as a sister and aunt.
She was predeceased by her husband Jim March 2022. Susan was a beloved aunt, sister, and wife, known for her great big heart and compassion for others.
Susan is survived by her sisters: Marianne Scaife (Jim), Sylvia Boutette (Rick), Cindy Belanger (Phil), Corina Katish, and Natasha Nugent (Kevin).
She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Rob Atamanchuk (Nicole), Nicole Scaife, Andrea Scaife (Tom Jardine), Melissa Curran (Kris), Jonathon Boutette (Araedelle), Ivan Belanger (Janet), Christen Belanger, Jason Katish, Megan Katish, Joshawa Katish, Dustin Katish, Courtney Katish; as well as her great nieces and nephews: Michael, Matthew Madelyn, Ciarra, Andr’e, Emmalynn, Jayden, Jaxson, Evan, Brooklin, Connor, Ava, Alyla, Angelique, Isabella, Ayden, Baylee, Hudson, Elijah, Sierra; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
A viewing will be held on December 11, 2023, at 7 p.m. at the Connelly-McKinley funeral home in St. Albert, AB. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to pay their final respects to Susan and offer their condolences to the grieving family.
Susan Pearl Astle will be deeply missed by all who knew and love her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. May she rest in eternal peace.
