It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Wayne Thew on November 24, 2024
Ken was born April 15, 1950, to Jim and DorothyThew. Ken was the third of eight children, Doug, Betty, Ken, Brian, Debbie, Randy, Sherry, and Pamela.
In 1975, Ken Married Shawnee and they started their family. They had 4 children. Michelle ( Jordan Kolodychuk) Karrie ( Steve Maas ) Tara ( Mike Fidelak ) Jeff ( Brandi Thew ). In 1993, Ken and Shawnee started their journey with foster care and added another 10 children to their family. Jordan ( Cario Thew ), Pheonix ( Ethan Esposito ), Jenny ( Jordan Poss ), Samuel, Jasmaine, Cheyenne, Starrly, Christian, Max, and Trinity. Along with these came thirty grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two more on the way.
Ken was known for his love of children, his kindness, and always willing to help his friends and family. He loved building things, fixing cars of any kind, and any handyman work. But above all else, Ken was devoted to his family and his faith. Ken dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1997 and faithfully served him for the rest of his life.
Ken was predeceased by his father Jim in 2005, his mother Dorothy in 2017, his brother Brian in 1986, his sister Sherry in 2020, and his brother Doug in 2022.
We are grateful for the support and kindness shown to Ken by the Good Samaritan home in Stony Plain.
