Karen Jean Hnatiw Obituary
We lovingly remember Karen Jean Hnatiw, known to all as Jean, who entered into rest on September 27, 2024, at the age of 70. Jean’s kind and selfless spirit brought laughter and joy to everyone around her.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Stan Hnatiw; her two children, Nina (Kyle) McAviney and Devon (Sam) Hnatiw; and her adored grandchildren, Bennett and Finnley. She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Kathy Hall (Greg), along with numerous family members and friends who were touched by her presence. Jean was predeceased by her parents, John and Norma Hancar.
A woman of humor and heart, Jean’s witty and compassionate nature was a source of comfort and laughter. She adored her cat, Scooter, and was an avid sports fan, spending countless hours cheering for her favorite teams. Her love for coffee visits and quality time with those she cherished will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. Jean’s legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In accordance with Jean’s wishes, there will be no formal service. The family invites all who knew and loved her to remember her in their own special way.
