Obituary
It is with great sadness to announce this morning, October 4th at 4:09am at the University of Alberta Hospital, Casia Beth Sam has passed away.
Casia passed away peacefully after a difficult decision made by her family to release her to God from a medically induced coma after a traumatic cardiac arrest and undiagnosed internal bleeding. She spent her final minutes of her life on earth in the loving care of her Mother and Father, Birgit and Daryl and her two siblings, Tatianna and Jeremy.
Casia was such an inspiration and shining light to each and every person she came in contact with. Her absolute love for music, dancing, family and her beloved friends made her happier than ever. Casia, despite her long list of preexisting medical conditions, lived a wonderful life of 32 years. Her quality of life was better than anyone she knew, she lived in her own little world and that’s what mattered.
