Marion Connell Obituary
Marion Flora Connell of Drumheller, beloved wife of the late Wayne Oliver Wright passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024, at the age of 79 years.
Marion was born on July 30, 1944, in Taber, AB. She was an adventurous outdoor enthusiast who loved to hike, ski and travel. Marion had a long career with Canada Post and was a pioneer when named the first female postmaster in Cardston, AB. She went on to serve in that role in several other locations and finished her career in Calgary, AB.
Marion is survived by her children Dawn (Heather), Ashley (Sharon), Amberlee (Phil), and her grandchildren Rowan, Piper and Maya. She is also survived by her sister Margaret (Dave).
As per Marions wishes there will be no service and flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or The Drumheller District Humane Society.
