Betty Housen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at the age of 80 years on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Drayton Valley, Alberta after a long and hard-fought battle with health conditions. Born on November 23, 1944, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Betty’s spirit and character touched everyone she met throughout her life.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her daughter Colleen Loucks and son, Randall Housen. She will also live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Samantha Romano, Amber Loucks, Heather Druer and Kassandra Druer and her great grandchildren, Payeton, Rorie, Jaxson, Taylor, Dakota, Melissa, Preston, Brooklyn, Aiden, Chloe, Zoe, Angelque and Wyatt. her siblings, Tom, Mary and Nola, along with many extended family and friends.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, Cliff and Lola Morrison, her daughter, Dottie Forsyth and her granddaughter Melissa Druer.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to friends, family and community for all of your support. Your kind words and prayers have not gone unnoticed. A special thanks to the Caregivers and Medical Staff for all their compassion and dedication to Betty at the end of her courageous battle. The storms of this life have now passed and Betty is at rest.
