Obituary of Vi Manywounds
April 23, 1963 – October 10, 2023
With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Vi Manywounds, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Her untimely departure has left us in profound shock and sadness.
Born on April 23, 1963, Vi was a beacon of light and love in the lives of her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for life touched everyone she encountered.
Vi was a devoted and caring mother to five children and a Kookum to six grandchildren. Despite life’s challenges, her love, though sometimes from a distance, was unwavering. She held every moment with her family close to her heart. Her legacy of enduring love, even in her absence, will forever resonate in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
In her spare time, Vi found joy in Reading, Crochet and of course Candy Crush, often sharing her passions with her loved ones. She had a talent for infusing joy into the lives of those around her, often during the most surprising moments.
Vi is survived by her loving family, including her daughters, Kristol and Melissa (Dave); sons, Lance (Linda), Brett (Marissa), and Christopher; and her grandchildren, Ryker, Erika, Xander, Grayson, Cruz and Alera; plus many more extended family members. Her unexpected passing leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. She was predeceased by her grandmother Theresa Metchewais, father Ben Vossler, sister Wanda Metchewais and her mother Roseanna Metchewais.
In honor of her memory, a wake service will begin on Saturday October 14, 2023 starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Bullhead Community Hall, located at 114 Bullhead Road, Tsuut’ina Nation It will run until the Funeral Mass on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Our Lady Peace Catholic Church, located at Bullhead Road. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
As we grapple with the sudden loss of Vi, we find solace in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, reminding us to embrace life’s moments with the same enthusiasm and love that she shared with us.
May she rest in eternal peace.
