Obituary of Rabbaniyyih Nabilzadeh
March 13, 1993 – Peshawar, Pakistan
October 16, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Rabbaniyyih Nabilzadeh Missaghi, beloved wife of Bayan Missaghi, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the age of 31 years.
She was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, on March 13, 1993, and grew up in Islamabad, Pakistan, with her dear sister Rohaniyyih. Alongside their loving parents, Nazila and Ramin, they were consistently involved in Bahá’í service activities, regularly contributing to the betterment of their neighbourhood and the wider community by providing moral education classes for children and animating junior youth empowerment programs. She was most fond of spending her time positively impacting the lives and decisions of adolescents and youth.
Rabbaniyyih earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Fatima Jinnah Women University in 2016, winning a silver medal. Around the same time, she was appointed and served as an auxiliary board member for Pakistan within the Bahá’í community. She also assisted her father, Ramin, in running an elementary school, New Era School, in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan.
She met Bayan in 2018, and they married on April 12, 2019. She subsequently moved to Calgary, AB, in 2020, where they resided and served the community together to the best of their ability. This included her service as a member of the Area Teaching Committee of the Baha’i community of Calgary.
Although Rabbaniyyih passed away in the prime of her life, she accomplished remarkable things, touched countless lives and formed deep, lasting friendships in many countries around the world. She was known as a true and trusted confidante, always able to counsel others with wisdom, perspective, and advice well beyond her years.
Rabbaniyyih enjoyed travelling the world, learning about new cultures and places, taking photographs, creating artwork, camping, going on walks with her husband, and reading and studying the Bahá’í Writings and Sacred Scriptures.
One of Rabbaniyyih’s favourite quotes was, “Whatever hath befallen you, hath been for the sake of God. This is the truth, and in this, there is no doubt. You should, therefore, leave all your affairs in His hands, place your trust in Him, and rely upon Him. He will assuredly not forsake you. In this, likewise, there is no doubt.” – Bahá’u’lláh
She will be most remembered for her bubbly and energetic personality, her heart that burned with loving kindness for all who crossed her path, and her caring consideration for the comfort and well-being of others.
Besides her loving husband, Rabbaniyyih is survived by her parents, Nazila and Ramin Nabilzadeh; sister Rohaniyyih Nabilzadeh (Faiz Saif), nieces, Alyra and Maisa Faiz; parents-in-law, Mahnaz and Shahram Missaghi; sister-in-law Gelareh Noureddin (Sina Noureddin), their children, Nava, Mila, and Kian Noureddin; brother-in-law Sahaub Missaghi (Katty Parsa Missaghi), and their children, Leo, Luka, and Lev Missaghi. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother Zarangiz Mashrequi, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (24223 Township Rd 242, Calgary, AB).
