Jim Peever Obituary
With immense sadness, we, the beloved family of Jim Peever, announce his unexpected passing at the age of 66 on Friday, December 8th, 2023, with his family at his side.
Jim was a wonderfully loving husband to Rita, the best dad to Zachary, a kind and helpful son-in-law to Jean Leshik, and a loyal friend to many throughout Alberta. Those family members who predeceased him include dear parents Lillian and Garfield.
His many talents ranged from machining and metal fabrication to project management and electrical design with E2 Consulting and Global Dynamics. Jim was also an entrepreneur, having successful small businesses and holding a patent. Jim had an innate curiosity, always tried to learn new things, and loved to figure out how stuff worked. He was a voracious reader of many genres, passionate about his beliefs, and could never wait to try out the new tool he just bought.
A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, December 15th, 2023, at 11:00 am, followed by a reception, at Evan J. Strong Funeral Home, 5502 2 St SW. A Graveside Service will be held afterward at 2:30 pm in Queen’s Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran’s Association Food Bank, 820 28 St NE #10, Calgary, AB.
