Obituary of Giuseppe Memme

Giuseppe Memme, beloved husband of Nicoletta Memme (nee Di Carlo), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the age of 83 years.
Giuseppe was born in Rocca San Giovanni, Italy, on March 19, 1941. He immigrated to Canada in 1966 and moved to Calgary, AB, that same year.
Giuseppe married Nicoletta in December of 1963.
Giuseppe accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of his family. He loved to garden and had a natural green thumb. He enjoyed watching hockey and wrestling, always wanting to be a part of the action. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchild.
Giuseppe will be most remembered for his great sense of humour and one-liners. His smile had the ability to light up a room.
Besides his loving wife Nicoletta, Giuseppe is survived by his daughter Ada Coolidge (nee Memme) of Calgary, AB, his son and daughter-in-law, Gianfranco (John) Memme and Paulette Barlow of Calgary, AB; and five grandchildren, Meagan Moyers (Josh Moyers) of Los Angeles, USA, Kelly Memme (Terrance Rayner) of Lethbridge, AB, Joey Memme of Lethbridge, AB, Coran Coolidge (Nicole Priest) of Airdrie, AB, and Riley Memme of Calgary, AB; and his great-grandchild Rhaeya Memme-Rayner of Lethbridge, AB. Giuseppe is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tommaso and Eda Memme, of Fossacesia, Italy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Giuseppe was predeceased by Armando Memme, Anna Memme (nee Caravaggio), Pasquale Memme, Fernando Memme, and Maria Scatozza (nee Memme).
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (Corner of 4th Street & Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219-4th Street NW, Calgary, AB). Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
