Edwin Shaw Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, that we share the news of the passing of Ed Shaw. On Friday, January 5, 2024, he lost a brief battle with a very aggressive cancer.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Shawlayna Pinder; his brother, Keith Poitras (Dung); sisters, Tammy and Laura Shaw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed worked in the sprinkler industry for many years. His last position was as a very proud Yardman at Wolseley SE yard.
Ed had been a Harley Davidson enthusiast for many years, he lived his life looking forward to his next ride. In August 2023, he, and his best friend (Keith) finally made the ride of his lifetime, California and Oregon coast, Highway 101. It was a dream come true.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Unit 82 at the Rockyview General Hospital. The care, patience, and compassion they demonstrated was very much appreciated.
A Memorial Service will be held at Evan J Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE Calgary) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024, followed by a reception.
