John Norman Ewanek, 80, of Canmore, AB, passed away as the result of heart complications
John was born to John and Annie Ewanek in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He graduated from Gordon Bell High School and went on to complete
a master’s degree in Soil Science from the University of Manitoba.
He had a fulfilling career in agriculture for 32 years.
In 1967, John married Myrna Olsen and they were blessed with three children: John Allen (Jay), Arlin and Mary-Anne. He is survived by his wife, children and six grandchildren
John retired in 2001 and later in his retirement move to Canmore where he enjoyed skiing and hiking.
John was warmly appreciative of the doctors and staff at the Foothills Medical Center, Cardiac Unit during his brief stay.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Parish in Banff on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make a donation, in John’s memory, to the Foothills Medical Center dedicated to the Cardiac Care Unit.
