Obituary
Burgess, Bryson A.
May 6, 1946 – January 11, 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bryson A. Burgess of Kinburn, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, in his 77th year. He is predeceased by his best friend and beloved wife Kathryn (nee Hall), of 52 years. Bryson was a devoted father to his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Kerri (Beckwith Twp.), and a proud grandfather of Bailey (Frisco, Texas). Bryson will be terribly missed by his faithful German Shepherd, Marley and remembered fondly by his many friends, neighbours and fellow farmers.
A longtime employee of EBI, Bryson loved his farm, fields and cattle, John Deere tractors, Montreal Canadiens, camping, talking politics, his many German Shepherd companions, and sitting on the front porch with the love of his life, Kathy. He was a devoted supporter of the Ottawa Mission, University of Ottawa Heart Institute, CHEO, Canadian Cancer Society and the Ottawa Humane Society.
For those who wish, a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of Bryson would be appreciated.
Chris and Kerri would like to thank the Ottawa Hospital, and the many neighbours and friends for their kindness and generosity over the past several months.
Barker Funeral Home is entrusted with his care and arrangements. As per Bryson’s wishes, a private service will be held. Interment at Pakenham Union Cemetery.
