Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Charles Mills which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, July 1st, 2023. Born 1946, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Hubert and Jean (Bowser) Mills. Brian worked as a customer service representative and dispatcher with Fundy Cable/Rogers for 25 years. He enjoyed wheelchair sports, especially basketball and also coached the Fundy Cable baseball team. In his younger years, Brian loved to travel. He enjoyed painting and was an active member of the Brunswick Drive Tenants Association. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart. Brian loved to tease, especially his caregivers at LLV who were a second family to him.
Brian is survived by his brothers Sholly Mills (Donna) of Saint John, Rick Mills (Joanne) of Quispamsis; niece Laurie Furlong (Roland) of Saint John; nephews Michael Mills (Danielle) of Rothesay, Paul Mills (Jennifer) of Quispamsis; as well as many great nieces and great nephews and one great-great niece Remi.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, July 6th from 12 to 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the Fundy chapel beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Brian may be made to Romero House or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
