Obituary For Blanche Esther Mulligan (nee Patton)
Blanche Esther Mulligan, resident of Grand Prairie, AB, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Mackenzie Place, at the age of 96 years.
Blanche was born January 20, 1927, in Huxley, AB, and moved to Bon Accord, AB, shortly after. She had three bothers and one sister.
Blanche attended Olds Agriculture School after graduating from High School.
She had a strong love for the Lord, and found her lifelong love with Glenn Mulligan.
They were married April 17, 1946. They were farmers and eventually had a family of five children. She spent the majority of her life focused on loving and supporting her husband, children, and later her grandchildren. She was especially blessed with great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Blanche is survived by her brother Joe (Wilma) Patton; her children: Ron (Helena) Mulligan, Jerry Mulligan (Sandy Willier), Joyce (Nick) Bot, daughter in-law Annette Mulligan, and son in-law Jim Friesen; as well as many descendants.
Blanche will be forever missed by those that loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 1:00pm, at the Church of Christ (9602, 92 Ave.).
An Interment will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 2:00pm, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Edmonton, AB (16102 Fort Road NW).
