At Joseph Brant Hospital on Thursday, June 8, 2023, the Lord took Betty VanderHout (nee Vanderwal) safely into the arms of Jesus in her 73rd year. Betty is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Andy. Betty will be dearly missed by her sister Joanne Auty. Predeceased by her dear bother Keith and brother-in-law Neil. Sister-in-law of Maart and Coby VanderHout, Wim VanderHout, and Bep van Dam, all of the Netherlands, and Mac and Frances VanderHout and Diny Vanderhout, in Canada. Predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Klaas and his wifeTine Vanderhout, Jan and his wife Maaike Vanderhout, Adrie and her husband Jan van Staalduinen, Tony Vanderhout, Suus and her husband Jaap Boers, Leen Vanderhout, and Pauline Vanderhout. Betty will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Holland and in Canada.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at BETHEL CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 616 Dundas St. E., Waterdown where the Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11 a.m., Pastor Jack Kerkhof officiating. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend the Interment Service prior to at BURLINGTON MEMORIAL GARDENS, 3353 Guelph Line, Burlington at 10 a.m.
