Passed away peacefully at the Western Long term Care Home, Corner Brook on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, Bertram King, age 91.
Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Dorothy King, wife Margaret, brothers Aubrey and Lester, sisters Helena (Max), Dulcie (Len), sister-in-law Ada King and baby sister Kathleen.
Left to mourn with loving memories are his children Sterling (Lenore), Woodrow (Darlene), Christine (Ford), Winston (Gabi), grandchildren Michelle, Jason, Janessa (Kevin), Jonathan (Amanda), Joey (Lauren), Krystal, Christine (John Paul), Kim (Moe), 10 great-grandchildren (one on the way).
Family will be accepting friends at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wing’s Point on Saturday, August 12th from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 13th at 2 P.M. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Victoria Cove.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Bertram’s memory to Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
A special Thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial for their loving care, Lanes Retirement Living where he resided for the past 11 years where he was known as the Quilt Man. Dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay there and was well cared for. I’m sure they will miss his humor and sound of his Sewing Machine.
