(Yirmiyahu) Engler, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Rebecca and Yoav of Jerusalem and Moshe and Beatrice of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Daughter of the late Mayer and the late Frieda Krayu, sister of the late Jenny, daughter and daughter-in-law of the late Moshe and the late Rebecca Engler, sister-in-law of Judith and the late Joseph Grundman.
Born Bianca Krayu in Bucharest Romania, Batya made Aliya to Israel with her family where she served in the IDF and later married the late Jeremy in 1953 in Haifa. Burial took place on January 6, 2023 in Haifa and shiva is being observed by Rebecca in Jerusalem and by Moshe on Saturday night (7-9PM) and Sunday (1-4PM) at his home, 213 Autumn Road, DDO, and on Monday and Tuesday (10AM-3PM) at the Eric and Naomi Chateau B’nai Brith, 7171 Cote St-Luc Road and on Wednesday (10AM- 3PM) at the Baazov Family B’nai Brith House, 8000 Cote St-Luc Road. Donations in her memory may be made to the Montreal BB Residences Foundation
