Barry Thomas Daley
1960-2023
Barry Thomas Daley passed away on May 11, 2023 at the Saint
John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB with his partner, Susan Sellars,
and his family at his side. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on January 7,
1960, he was the son of the late James and Janie (Pye) Daley. In
addition to his partner, Susan, he is survived by his daughter, Valene
Daley (Troy), and his brother Ivan Daley; and his four-legged best
friend, Maggie the cat. Besides his parents, Barry was predeceased by
his brother James.
Barry worked for Connor’s Brothers in the
Maintenance Department in Blacks Harbour all his working life. Barry
loved Bluegrass music, which he played with his band, the Porcupine
Mountain Boys and enjoyed attending various festivals around the
Maritimes and Maine each year.
The family would like to thank NP Kate Burkholder for all her
care and compassion shown to Barry over the years.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with
Barry’s wishes there will be no service. A visitation will
be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 pm. In
Barry’s memory, donations to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
