Barbara Bergsma (nee: Ortell)
Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, January 5th, 2023, Barbara Bergsma of London and formerly of Mt. Brydges in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter Bergsma (2014). Cherished mother of the late Ted Bergsma (2015), John and Josie Bergsma, Mary and Mike Smith, George and Nancy Bergsma, and Peter and Dee Bergsma. Fondly remembered by daughters-in-law Brenda and Lucy. Proud Oma of 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Janine, several dear nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and nephews all residing in Poland. Predeceased by her brother Tadeusz and her sister Jadwige.
As per Barbara’s wishes, a private family service will be held at the McFarlane & Roberts Funeral Home. Donations to the charity of your choice gratefully acknowledged.
