Obituary of Archelynn Josephine Hay
HAY, Archelynn Josephine (nee Coupland).
December 17, 1922 – August 30, 2023
It is with grateful hearts for a full life that we announce the passing of Archelynn Hay at the remarkable age of 100 years.
She is now reunited with her devoted husband, Ross (1918-2004), her cherished parents, Vera and Jonathan, and her elder brother, Jack.
Archelynn goes on ahead of her daughter, Roslynn (Gerry, 1942-2019), her son, Randy (Luanne); four grandchildren: Jane (Andrew), Philip, Lauren (Justin), and Lindsay. Archelynn was also blessed with three great grandchildren: Evelyn, Jeremy, and Roy.
Grandma shared her love of Jesus with her family, her neighbours, her church community at Trinity United, the United Church Women’s group, staff at Parkview Nursing Centre, as well as virtually anyone who crossed her path.
She was a joyful and quirky woman of deep faith, love, prayer, and hospitality. Her legacy was her love for her savior and her family, her faithfulness in cultivating a stable home, and her obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit, as well as her sparkly-eyed mischief and laughter.
Visitation will be held at the Brombal Funeral Home (formerly Gilchrist Chapel), One Delhi Street, Guelph on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Interment with immediate family will be held at Watford Cemetery, Watford.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated. Share online tributes and condolences at www.brombal.ca
