WILSON, Albert John (1945-2023)
Passed away at Billings Court Manor on Wednesday, January 25th in the loving presence of family, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Christine (nee Lloyd); loving father of Kevin (Debbie) and Megan (Steve); proud Papa of Mackenzie, Aidan, Kinley, Cameron, Tyler, Payton, and Tavia; dear brother of late Lorraine (David), late Audrey (Gary), and Alan (Doreen); and brother-in-law of Barbara (Jim). Albert will be deeply missed by his dear friends Brian and Mildred and by all his beloved nieces and nephews.
Albert was a fun-loving individual with an infectious laugh, always ready to help out his friends and family. He loved his years of working at Bell Canada and enjoyed it enough to be considered one of his passions. Albert loved a round of golf followed up by a much-loved tradition of wings and beer on the 19th hole. Back when his children were younger, Albert was a consistent and loved youth soccer coach, spending many hours strategizing line-ups and plays.
The biggest passion of Albert’s life was Christine and his family. Albert loved to plan and travel with Christine; he loved family events, Sunday dinners, and being a fun Papa to his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home, 485 Brant St, Burlington on Monday, January 30th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Smith’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31st at 1:00pm.
For those who wish, donations in Albert’s honour to the Alzheimer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
