The passing of Robert “Bob” Woods Young of Fredericton , NB, husband of Mary “Bunny” (Barber) Young occurred on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Oromocto Public Hospital . Born on January 21, 1939 in Timmins , ON , he was the son of the late Jack Young and Muriel (Mumford) Stephenson. Robert served in the Royal Canadian Navy for five years before going on to work as a Purchasing Manager and Stores for the Pulp and Paper Industry. Robert was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter, Susan Young; grandson, Robert Fallon (Larrissa); great grandson, Curtis Fallon; siblings, John Young (Lynne), Earl Young (Joanne), Rick Young (Margo), Jim Young (Kelly) and Tom Young (Audrey); several nieces and nephews. Besides is parents, he was predeceased by his son, Stephen Young and brother, D’Arcy Young.
By request there will be no visitation or funeral service; there will be a Graveside Service in Edmundston , NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
