The Family of Eli Frederick Dominie of Pool’s Cove announces his passing on October 6, 2024, at the age of 78, after a six-year fight with dementia.
He leaves behind his wife, Darlene Williams-Dominie of 38 years; daughter, Xanta (Robert) at Pool’s Cove; daughter, Kayla, presently residing at Harbour Breton; son, Nicholas, at Grand Bank; his cherished 6 grandchildren and great grandaughter, Ophilia; sister in law, Nina Dominie, at Harbour Breton; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
Eli was predeceased by his mother, Mary; father, Ralph; sisters, Audrey, Ruth (brother in law, Garfield) and Margaret (brother in law, Clayton); brother, Roy Dominie; daughter in law, Wanda; special nephews, Tyler and Stirling.
He thought a lot of his friends and would do anything he could for each and every one of them. He earned his name (Doc) by being able to put his hand to mostly anything and fixing it. Special thanks to Harbour Breton Hospital staff and the Dr. Hugh Twomey staff at Botwood. Special thanks to his friends, Pious and Bertha and, also Allan Bambury.
A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church at Pool’s Cove on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:00 am.
