Desbiens: Viola Margaret (née Holmes) –
A lifelong resident of Blenheim, Viola Desbiens passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the age of 85.
Born in Harwich Township, Viola was the daughter of the late Melville and Ruth (née Pickering) Holmes.
Predeceased by her husband Ron Desbiens (1972).
Loving mother of Kathy McCorkell (January 29, 2024) and Fred Desbiens.
Proud Nana of Matthew (Oana), Daniel (Anna), Joel (Samantha), Kaitlin (Nolan), Micheal and Brent (Corby).
Great Nana to Cameryn, Brooklyn and Dylan.
Dear sister to Jim Holmes, the late George Holmes, the late Gary Holmes, Vera Clark (Paul) and Ronald Holmes.
Special aunt to Tim Clark (Delynne), Don Clark, Bill Clark (Tracy) and Lisa Van Eerd (Eric) and their children and grandchildren.
Also missed by friends and extended family.
Viola retired as a Developmental Service Worker from the Southwest Regional Centre after many years of service.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Blenheim Kingdom Hall on Monday, February 4, 2024 at 7:00pm.
Donations made in memory of Viola to the Blenheim Kingdom Hall would be appreciated by the family.
