Spowart, Madeleine Anne (Nee Triano)
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Madeleine Spowart on January 14, 2023 in her 96th year. Loving wife of Andrew Spowart and mother of Kevin (Roseanne) McKeen. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia McKeen (2017), her parents Giuseppe and Filomena Triano, brothers Bert and Tony Triano and sisters Viola Wilkinson, Helen Wickenden and Dolly Borbay. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Madeleine spent most of her adult life doing accounts and bookkeeping for numerous business and restaurants in the Niagara and Toronto area. In the mid 70’s Andy and Madeleine purchased Harding Hotel James St. St. Catharines and we’re the proprietors until the late 80’s. She enjoyed gardening and decorating there home for all the special holidays. She loved collecting porcelain dolls and displaying them through their home. As per Madeleine’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral services. Arrangements entrusted to Passfield Mortuary Services Inc. In memory of Madeleine memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society. Thanks, mom, for all your support and love over the years and we will miss you dearly.
