Matagami: In loving memory of Ms. Antonia Shashaweskum who passed away on November 1, 2023 at the age of 20 years old. She lived in Matagami, and was the daughter of Angus Shashaweskum and Murielle Otter.
Ms. Shashaweskum is survived by her sister June Ogushing (Mike Trapper); her nieces and nephews: Xavier Trapper, Mikaya Trapper, Hope Trapper, Malikye Trapper and Mikkel Trappel; her grandmothers: Eva Damon and Sophia Damon; as well as many relatives and friends.
Ms. Shashaweskum’s visitations will be held at St. Catherine’s Church, Pikogan, on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the St. Catherine’s Church in Pikogan.
The burial will take place at the Matagami cemetery at a later date.

Outre ses parents, Mme Shashaweskum laisse dans le deuil sa soeur June Ogushing (Mike Trapper); ses neveux et nièces: Xavier Trapper, Mikaya Trapper, Hope Trapper, Malikye Trapper et Mikkel Trappel; ses grands-mères: Eva Damon et Sophia Damon ainsi que de nombreux parents et amis (es).
Mme Shashaweskum sera exposée à l’Église Ste-Catherine de Pikogan, le mardi 14 novembre 2023, de 10h à 12h, 13h à 17h et 19h à 21h ainsi que le mercredi 15 novembre de 10h à 14h.
Les funérailles auront lieu le mercredi 15 novembre 2023 à 14h, en l’Église Ste-Catherine de Pikogan.
L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière de Matagami à une date ultérieure.
