Bennett, Murray Jenner
A resident of Chatham, formerly of Charing Cross, Murray Bennett passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at Copper Terrace Nursing Home at the age of 88.
He was the son of the late Norman & Mildred (nee Jenner) Bennett.
Remembered always by his loving wife of 20 years, Adele Theuns (nee Muckle) and predeceased by his first wife, Beverley (nee MacKay, 1996) and son, Brook.
Survived by his daughter-in-law, Carol and grandson, Joshua.
Brother-in-law of John Muckle (Margery).
Missed by his extended family.
Murray worked as Teacher and delivered mail for many years. He enjoyed singing, and was formerly active in the Charing Cross United Church Choir. He was a member of the Chatham-Kent Glee Club and was a very talented Tenor.
As per Murray’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service for Murray will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Pardoville – Union Cemetery, Pardoville. All those wishing to attend are invited to arrive for 10:30 am for a time of visiting with the family.
In memory of Murray, donations may be made to Charing Cross United Church.
