Surrounded by love, Muriel passed away on June 1, 2023 at the age of 93. Loving wife of the late Maurice. Proud mother of Susan (John Folusewych) Ingram and Mark (Nancy) Cheshire. Always in the hearts of grandchildren Tim (Stefanie), Christine, John (Mandy), Kristopher (Grace) and great grandmother of Alynea, Benjamine, Nikola, Tyler (Alexis), Ryan, Samantha, Kaitlyn, John, Nicholas, Landon and Levi. She was a great great grandmother of 5.
Williams Funeral Services, 722 Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeway entrusted with arrangements. Family and friends will gather and visit on Wednesday June 7th from 10 am until the time of a funeral in the chapel at 11 o’clock. If you wish to make a memorial contribution, the family would ask that you consider the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.

On behalf of the Niagara District Senior Ladies Golf Association, we would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Muriel Cheshire’s family. As one of the founding members of our association in 1989, Muriel remained an honorary lifetime member until her passing and was responsible for inspiring women golfers, both senior and junior, by her example. We will continue to honour her memory with our gratitude through the Muriel Cheshire Award.
On behalf of the Niagara District Senior Ladies Golf Association, we would like to offer our condolences to the family of Muriel Cheshire. Muriel was one of the founders of our association in 1989 and was an inspiration to both senior and junior women golfers in Niagara. She was an honorary lifetime member of NDSLGA until her passing and will be fondly remembered with gratitude because of her initial support for the Muriel Cheshire Award.
