It is with profound sadness that the family announces his passing on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Lorraine Treitz (née Bourgeois). Son of the late Arthur and late Exilda (née Laforest) Treitz. Dear brother of Linda (late Larry). Predeceased by his brother Albert (Helen). Devoted father of Lisa (Bob), Carolyn (Torben), Julie (Yvan) and Allan (Francine). Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Anthony (Louisa), Patrick, Eric (Casey), Samuel, Norah, Noah and Alivia. Great-grandfather of Sofia. Equally missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St, Hanmer, on May 1, 2023 from 2 – 5 p.m. A chapel service will follow at 5 p.m. Richard was a buyer at Falconbridge Nickel Mines for 35 years. He was a passed Grand Knight at the St-Kevin’s Parish and was most enthusiastic about the KC Choir. In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
