McFetridge, Michael Donald –Age 72, died on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
He was the only son of the late Donald and Florence (Mitchell) McFetridge. Michael was born and lived much of his life in Middle Musquodoboit.
Michael loved music, playing several instruments. In his youth, he and his friends formed a band called the “Weads of Eden” which later went to playing in more bands. He worked for many years in Dartmouth, Milford and finished his working career as an employee with Canada Post. Community minded, he was involved with the beginning changes to Musquodoboit Valley Bicentennial Theatre and Middle Musquodoboit Cemeteries Committee.
Michael leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Marilyn (Redden); son, Matthew (Eva); daughter, Sarah (Collin); granddaughter, Monica (the apple of his eye); grandson, Isaiah (Jasmine); sister, Ellen McFetridge; many extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Pioneer Cemetery, Middle Musquodoboit followed by a Celebration of Life.
Arrangements are entrusted to Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.

I was very fortunate to share company with Michael on a few occasions. He was one of the good guys who you wanted to spend more time with! Caring, considerate and just one of the people that you were glad to have met! I am very fortunate to have been able to know this man of character!
We will miss you more than a lot my friend!
