Obituary of James Armstrong McCormick
Gone to join his late wife of 60 years, Muriel (2018); James Armstrong McCormick passed away Tuesday, April 18th 2023 in his 89th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving children: James Jr. (Maria) and daughter, Kelly-Ann; was the proud grandfather to Scott and Colin; uncle to Heather, Trevor, Philip, Susan, Roger and Warren. James Sr. was born and raised in St. Catharines and worked his entire career with the Chrysler Dealership, retiring as Parts Manager. He loved getting up at the crack of dawn on those freezing rain mornings, knowing he’d be busy selling new fenders to all who needed them that day. James won many awards and benefited with many trips he won due to his credited work with Chrysler. He and Muriel were able to visit destinations such as Ireland, Scotland, Disney and Acapulco. James was very politically active, involved with many campaigns that kept him very socially active. He enjoyed sharing his wit and humour with all who knew him and will be missed by many who loved him. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. In keeping with James’ wishes, cremation has taken place and a privaste scattering ceremony will take place at a later date.
