Rose Mary Zibrowski (nee Andrusky) was born October 29, 1933 in Radway, AB, to John and Pauline Andrusky (nee Chizen), then moved to Edmonton in her early years.
In her teen years, the family moved to New Westminster, B.C., before moving back in time for graduation from Victoria Composite High School in Edmonton in 1951. She went to work as a bank teller, and was soon training others, but her passion was her sewing. She was a great seamstress and eventually found herself working for Singers Sewing. In 1969, Mary and her husband Steve moved from Edmonton to an acreage in Josephburg, AB, where they raised their five children, and remained until 2017. In her time on the acreage, she took care of chickens and livestock for home use, while also juggling her children and, in later years, grandchildren. Once her children were grown, her and her husband worked as volunteer firefighters for the Strathcona County fire house that was located next door. In 2017, she moved to Summerwood in Sherwood Park, before moving to Youville Home in St. Albert in 2021, where she stayed until she passed away early in the morning on June 14, 2022.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Steve Zibrowski (2015), son Randy Zibrowski (2011), father John Andrusky (1947), mother Pauline Andrusky (1980), brothers Bernard Andrusky (2014), Edward Andrusky (2016), and great grandson Nathan Gabert (2011). She is survived by her brother Lyle Andrusky, daughter Val Gabert (Ken), sons Brad Zibrowski (Jodi), Tim Zibrowski, and Wayne Zibrowski, as well as various grandchildren and great grandchildren.
