Yvette Vincent (Whissel)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Golden Manor on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022 at the age of 72. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Vincent (2013). Loving mother of Jackie Harkins (Peter) and André Vincent (Monica). Dear grandmother of Katlyn, Benjamin, Jonathan, Ashley and Maxxwell. Predeceased by her parents Philip and Elizabeth Whissel and by her brother Florian. Dear sister of Jean-Guy Whissel (Joanne), Laurent Whissel (Lorraine), Thérèse Chartier (Maurice), Gilles Whissel (Laurette), Lucienne Ouellet (Alain) and Philippe Whissel (Micheline). She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Claire Vincent, and Bob’s five siblings: Jean-Marc (friend Belen), Maurice, Denyse (Wayne), Pierrette (Rick), and Pauline (Randy). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Yvette was a very loving and selfless person who adored her family and friends. What made her happiest was being surrounded by family and friends, sharing great memories and laughs. Throughout her life, she served as a member of the Porcupine District Agricultural Society, the Timmins Porcupine Figure Skating Club, and the Timmins Fall Fair. The family wish to thank the staff of the Golden Manor, Timmins and District Hospital and Bayshore nursing who helped Yvette through her last few years. A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at St-Joseph’s Church. Remembrance donations to Diabetes Canada would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
